Class of 2012 Graduating Senior Banquet Sunday, May 20, 2012 immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service.
Youth Sunday! Sunday, May 20, 2012. It is a one service Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The theme is “Encouragement.”
Summer SNACK! We will be having SNACK this summer. Please mark your calendars for the following dates (locations TBA): June 3 & 10; July 1, 15, 22 & 29; and August 5, 12 & 19.
Vacation Bible School 2012!!! The dates for this year are June 11-15 from 8:30 a.m. unil Noon each day. We need youth help! Traditionally, the youth help lead Recreation during the week. If you are willing to help us, please visit this link and register yourself as a volunteer. If Recreation is not your thing, we need youth workers in classrooms as well. Please talk to Joyce Oliver or David Garrard and they will be glad to help you find a place!
2012 Summer Mission Trip We will be going to Costa Rica for our mission trip this year! The dates will be June 16-June 27.
2012 PASSPORT Camp We will be going to camp the week of July 8-13 this summer in Wingate, North Carolina!
Kroger Card Fundraiser: We know that Youth Ministry is expensive and we want to help with that! All of the money raised through the Kroger Card Fundraiser goes towards making youth events affordable for all participants. During 2011, you raised a total of $4,241.72! WOW! Fundraising could not be any easier than this! Here is how it works: (1) Purchase a reusable Kroger Card from Emily Thompson in the Church Office for $5.00 (the $5.00 will go towards your groceries as well. The card is just preloaded with that amount). (2) Load the card with your desired amount of money before or after you shop either at a register or at Customer Service. (3) Use the card to purchase your groceries and/or gas and 4% will be donated to the SMBC Youth Ministry! So far, you have raised a total of $1023.80 for 2012!
