Ministry Opportunities

Fellowship with Christ Ministry is a ministry that was created to meet the needs of the homeless in Louisville, KY. The St. Matthews Baptist Church Youth cook and serve breakfast on the 3rd Sunday of the month down on the waterfront by Joe’s Crab Shack. Breakfast is served between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. After breakfast, the message of God’s love is shared. After the closing prayer, volunteers can help give out clothes and toiletries. Contact Missey McMillan or Jeff Bailey if you want to be a part of this amazing ministry!

Jeff Street is a men’s shelter that St. Matthews Baptist Church has been partnering with for many years. On the 2nd Sunday of each month, a group from the church will go downtown to the shelter and serve breakfast to the men there. If you want to help out at any point, please contact the Church Office!

Baptist Fellowship Center is a ministry that serves the West End of Louisville through programming such as emergency assistance, childcare, counseling services, truancy prevention and providing school supplies to those with needs in the community surrounding it. St. Matthews Baptist Church has partnered with the Baptist Fellowship Center on numerous occasions throughout the years. One of our main ministries with them is Christmas Connection, where we purchase toys, clothes, blankets and Bibles for families who would not have a Christmas otherwise. The youth have led VBS at the Center during the Summer as well as participated in mission work there. Jammie Stone is the contact there and always welcomes volunteers!
